Carmel Country Club, considered being Charlotte's premier establishment of this type, wanted to develop a resort feel to their outdoor aquatic venue. Two pools were designed to accomplish this goal: a 25 yard 8 lane competition pool with a diving well and a leisure pool with a zero entry beach complete with a five loop slide. Paddock Construction Company, Inc. of Rock Hill, SC was selected as the pool contractor.
The leisure pool, approximately 3,000 square feet, is one of the most unique pools Paddock Constructions has ever built. This pool utilized the R300 recirculating perimeter gutter system which allows the owner to have a free form pool with the benefits of a stainless steel perimeter system.
The 6,000 square foot competition pool also utilized the R300 system and is equipped with a full complement of Paddock racing equipment, rail goods, and deck equipment. The underground equipment room utilized Paddock's stainless steel high rate sand filters on both pools.
Carmel Country Club has won several awards for their highly acclaimed project and as a result of this pool construction venture the club's new members and regular member attendance have strongly increased.
